Session bias is NEED CONFIRMATION. Today has two hard checkpoints still ahead before anything confirms either way.

What’s driving it: US10Y nominal jumped to 5.137% overnight — financial media calling it the highest since July 2007 — after NY Fed’s Williams said another year-end rate hike is “reasonable.” CME FedWatch now prices a 77.5% chance of an October hike. Overnight equity futures confirm the weaker tone (Dow –0.32%, S&P –0.58%, Nasdaq –1.06%), VIX is up to 16.29, and the dollar keeps firming.

Two hard checkpoints today: the 8:30 AM jobless claims print and the 1:00 PM 7-year Treasury auction. Neither has happened yet — nothing is confirmed until the cash session prints sustained 15-minute bars.

Also on the radar: the U.S.–China trade truce was extended to January 10 as Xi began his Washington visit — a risk-sentiment positive that hasn’t offset the yield-driven weakness so far.
